where could a trail of tissues
lead, the handkerchief was such an indiscreet
affair and burdened by its history
pinned to a breast or pocket -
users drop tissues like
old skin or five cent pieces
though ideology may prevent
sniffing in some places a possé
of nostrils may pay off for the prairie
magus if the cacti don't leak and
the horses don't crave a gymkhana
