andy jackson - amputation

Funny (strange) what's a fetish &
what we say's OK to cut from the
rest of the body with a rough edit
(compliment (threat)). Take that
breast (the girl of course wasn't
important) I was smuggling in my
schoolbag in a teenage dream. Its
shape's still buried in my head,
humming in the soil like a seed
under shit & shards of bone. (If
you're out there, reading this, I'm
sorry). Sometimes strangers poke
me as if I'm an interactive exhibit.
Things like this are (arche)typical.
Our consciousness's been built on
trespasses & every image is part
of the training (regime). Symbols
obsess & drive us & the heart's
left behind.            Regardless
of the bits we prefer, our bodies
think in a grammar of amputation.
